Dec 3rd: Seminar Innovating Across Borders
On December 3rd the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam was transformed into an innovation laboratory. Toghether with TNO and Slum World, NCDO’s business programme, Business in Development organised 6 different sessions on innovating in developing countries with Adjiejd Bakas, Christian Seelos and 14 innovation pitches!
Affordable housing in developing countries
On the 26th of November NCDO/Business in Development, United Momentum Group and Slum World organised a brainstorm session on the role of the Dutch private sector in social housing. Themes that were discussed:
a) Sustainable housing
b) Rental housing
c) Urban liveability
d) Financial instruments
40 participants attended this meeting representing Dutch housing corporations, banks, architects, project developers, construction companies, municipalities from developing countries, researchers and shack dwellers. Read more about Affordable Housing.
